Marathon
2024 will be our first time offering the Marathon distance. It comes as a result of wanting to move the Mystery race into the Ultra realm. The Marathon is an iconic distance, and this is the perfect trail to do it.

The Marathon course follows the North Country Trail 100% (except for a short spur to the Highland Aid Station, and to the Gaylord Nelson Aid Station). This course runs east from the Mississippi River Watershed to the Lake Superior Watershed, through nearly virgin pines, creeks, ridges, pine barrens, and valleys abound.
The Gaylord Nelson Aid Station (runners visit this twice in a short time period as it is very close to the turn around location) will be directly off of Hwy. 27 and will have crew access available.

All race distances start and finish at Palmer's Landing. The Marathon course is an out and back route.

The Marathon with have a cutoff time of 7 hours.
